When I read about the contest the first thing that popped into my head was werewolf! Full fursuit with muzzle, fangs, and claws. Everything is hand-sewn.
Materials: Eyes: His "contact lenses" are painted plastic (paint the front with sharpie markers, the back with white acrylic paint). A werewolf is just not a werewolf if its eyes don't change.
Muzzle: Hand-sculpted polystyrene (knife and wood-burning tool), muslin fabric, glued on loose hair fibers, painted polymer clay for nose and fangs. It is attached to a full head harness made of muslin.
Paws: His claws are painted polymer clay and are glued into old socks. The fur was sewn around it.
Fur: Hand-sewn faux fur. And yes, this guy sheds like a sheepdog!!!
Took 1 week to sew everything together and is my first time using faux fur, making a fursuit, and mixing sculpture and fabric directly together.
