Did you miss me?
Anyways~ I'm back from the East Coast and had a very good time. Just about nothing happened like we planned but it was fun nonetheless.
Went to Union City, NJ, Manhattan, NY, the Bronx, NY, and New Haven, CT.
Weather was nice for the most part and then we got SNOW!! As a cold person stuck in Southern California that is a big deal! We got hit by winter storm Hercules so the wind chill sent temps into negative and our trip to Boston, MA got canceled
We got uber delayed coming back home too. Almost 6 hours delayed at Newark, NJ (Southwest airline) and we were at the airport over 2 early to check our bags. We missed our connection flight in Denver, CO and the next flight that we got SO LUCKY to reserve the LAST 2 seats on was at 2:40PM the next day. Had we been flying to another SoCal airport, we would have been out in at least 2 days minimum! So we stayed overnight in the airport... sleeping is not an option... ouch.. Good breakfast, crappy lunch, 40 minute delay, new snow (snowed the night we got to CO. Clear before.), and we finally got back to CA. Luggage came in today.
And I finished a 455 page book in one day while coming back. Dean Koontz's Frankenstein: Book 2: City of Night. Definitely want to read 1, 3, 4, & 5!
Best part about coming home? My own bed
3 more CJ classes and I have my Associates!
Commissions are open too!! PLEASE?!!

Welcome Back! That's one crazy vacation you had.
So glad you got back safely! That storm stuff is insane, and I totally understand not being used to the cold, haha. Down here in Florida I watch the news and can't even imagine what it must feel like up there.
I was enjoying the cold when I got to be out in it! I want to move to a colder climate but not that far north or that far east. I like the West coast. I hate the heat and especially the humidity because my body temperature fluctuates and I overheat easily. Cold reminds me that I am alive; heat just makes me feel like blah and I don't want to do anything.
Haha, I know what you mean. I like cooler temperatures too, although definitely nothing as close to what it is up north right now.
Yeah I can handle the 30s but nothing lower for more than a few days. And I'd rather have more rain and fog than snow. But I don't want to have to always trek into the mountains to see it.
Welcome back and sorry for all the drama, I did miss you! Glad you are safe K.
I hear that about your own bed! That is the problem with flying eastbound in the winter; too many opportunities for bad weather! Think you got home just in time, though, as Winter Storm Ion is blowing in to add at least a foot to the snow we already have and temperatures may drop to forty below. As it blows frigid arctic air the storm will head east. Doubt there will be school on Monday!
We watched the news about Ion and my first thought was to you guys! Stay warm and safe!
The winds are absolutely raging! The weather warmed up and there has been rain and sleet and snow will follow as the temp drops thirty or more degrees. That means layers of ice covered in snow. The schools already announced closures, many for Tuesday as well
